A Woodstock man’s efforts to restore the local cenotaph is also restoring some faith in the community.
Contractor Don Martin has 25 years experience restoring old buildings, and he is donating his time and skills for two days to help restore the granite monument.
Martin is sealing cracks and repairing mortar joints on the Victoria Park cenotaph. It was vadalized last Remembrance Day when a swastika was painted across it.
